The 3RPT Way

At Three Rivers Pediatric Therapy, I work with children birth to 21 years of age. SLP's work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat articulation, language, swallowing, and fluency disorders. I have experience working with a variety of conditions including Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Apraxia, targeting speech clarity, stuttering, receptive and expressive language, food aversions, and augmentative and alternative communication. I implement evidence based therapy techniques to enable your child to reach their full potential, no matter what obstacles may be standing in their way.

My Approach

Services

SLP's treat a wide variety of communication disorders. I've highlighted the most common below.

Articulation

This refers to speech sound errors, including substitutions and difficulty producing sounds correctly.  Examples include the child saying "tat" for "cat" or "wing" for "ring".

Language

Referring to receptive and expressive language.  This may be difficulty following directions, identifying objects, labeling things, and combining multiple words together to create sentences.

Fluency

Commonly known as stuttering; dysfluencies in speech include blocks, repetitions, and prolongations causing speech to sound "bumpy".

Let's Get Started

Consultation

Reach out to get started with a FREE consultation. This is a brief phone call with a speech-language pathologist who will make a recommendation based on your concerns.

Evaluation

If recommended, an evaluation is the next step. Immediately following the evaluation, the SLP will share the results and recommendations to determine the next steps for your child.

Treatment

Now we are ready to begin therapy! In sessions we will work to bridge any gaps in communication. Frequency and duration of therapy depends on your child’s needs and therapy goals.

*Progress will be monitored regularly and shared with you. As goals are met, we will update them until your child is ready to graduate from therapy!
